Are SUPER73 Bikes Road Legal In The UK?
Of course! SUPER73 bikes may be referred to by many different names, (e-bikes, electric motorbikes, fat bikes, etc) however, in the eyes of the law in the UK, they are classified as EPAC, or ‘electrically assisted pedal cycles’.
In the UK, you do not need a licence to ride an EPAC, and they do not need to be registered, taxed or insured. All SUPER73 bikes are in full compliance with UK law.
Electric motor size legality: All SUPER73 bike electric motors are limited to 15.5mph with a continuous rated power of 250-watt motor. This means they are fully street legal as standard for you to ride on UK roads.
Private land usage: In order to overcome difficult and different types of terrain, the SUPER73 models off different power levels*. To be able switch between the 4 PAS levels, you can do so on your display on your bike, or within the SUPER73 App.
Mode 1. Epac - Street Legal
Mode 2.(Specific countries only) - Private Land
*Please note, this is only for use on private land and to use SUPER73 bikes on UK roads, you MUST conform to all UK laws surrounding EPAC, including but not limited to, speed restricted to 15.5mph, use of pedals to propel the cycle, opposed to using a twist throttle.
